Occasionally, when there is a good source-receiver geometry of the target earthquake, the RCMT can be obtained also for earthquakes with magnitude larger than 4.0. The blue and white beach ball symbols indicate the mechanisms obtained from application of the Time Domain Moment Tensor (TDMT, http://terremoti.ingv.it/tdmt.html). This technique is used for M ≥ 3.5. The size of the beach ball sysmbol scales with the calculated moment magnitude, Mw.
